It’s no secret I’m a fan of testing and regularly using different LLMs as part of my AI marketing stack.
Comparing an app to a competitor quickly gives you a feel for how it works, allowing you to adapt your workflow faster.
We’re all short on time, so. ChatGPT is my (and most of the internet’s) current go-to.
BUT Claude has quickly become my V2.
Why?
Well, today, I’m taking a deep dive into ‘Why Claude’. There are some clear benefits to using both LLM’s.
I’ll also cover some of the limitations of each.
ie… if you’re using ChatGPT for social media copy, you’re going to need an editor…🫣
Here’s the scoop…👀👇🏼
If it’s for very specific content…Claude aces “needle in a haystack” tests due to its larger context window. The UI is better, and it is a better tool for Social.
If you’re looking for better integration with other apps, or sharing content with your team…ChatGPT integrates with Google Drive and OneDrive for easy file access and transfer, plus it’s teams/GPT functionality is better.
When it comes to emotional intelligence, Claude excels at understanding and responding to emotional nuances, and I use it more for social media.
Are you looking to create content focusing on language accuracy and custom instructions? ChatGPT is your champ.
If you’re not in a rush, choose Claude as I’ve had it time out on me.
It’s slower, but with a larger context window, offers deeper analysis.
Need content quicker or a large number of API calls?
Choose ChatGPT.
Their API offers the quickest turnarounds and I’ve had zero recent API issues.
Claude: Creates emotionally resonant and better social copy.
ChatGPT: Generates creative, contextually accurate content and has access to the internet.
Claude: Shines in nuanced analysis and better summaries.
ChatGPT: Excels at simplifying complex ideas, tables, and summarizing reports.
Claude: I only use to create keyword clusters when I have a lot of source material to sift though.
🏆 ChatGPT 4: Use it daily as the combination of access to the internet, ability to talk to it, works in 80 languages, and persistent memory crush Claude here.
Claude: Performs well…
🏆 ChatGPT: My choice for explaining code.
💡Pro Tip: I test both for Google Tag Manager and WordPress tasks! As I can’t code. 🫣
Claude: It’s better to create complex formulas thanks to its larger context window, but you can’t upload Excel files.
🏆 ChatGPT: Excels with formulas, especially in Google Sheets and reads Excel files.
🏆 Claude: Wins here with its better emotional understanding. Sounding less like AI and more human 🤝 fewer reworks are needed.
ChatGPT: If you need to storyboard images for your design team, the 4o model is helpful. It can generate both text and images. Although it can sound like AI.. so will need a thorough edit. ✍🏼
It’s a lot to take in, I know.
I’ve created a handy cheat sheet comparing the two.
Share it with a colleague and save them some time.
🤔 So, what’s your take? Are you Team Claude, Team ChatGPT, or playing for both sides?
