Hello, hello! ππ»
We all want to turn our mess into momentum.
Iβm using AI, while others might prefer a pen and notebook.
Every week I see another version of: "95% of AI initiatives fail."

What The Data Showsβ¦ π
And Iβve seen great data from companies like P&G seeing real gains from AI:

So, where is the truth? It depends on your worldview.Β
Here are some recent data points on the billion plus folks using AI each month:

Getting Burned By Tech Companies? π₯
People are getting burned by tech companies that overpromise and AI that under delivers. This happens with all technology, and we have valid concerns about its societal impact.Β
Excessive TV viewing (peak TV was 9 hours a day) has caused plenty of issues, too.

But if 95% of your AI efforts are failing, I would look to your team.
Are they scared of losing their job?
71% of Americans are π

Are they close to retirement age and just wanting to head into retirement, not having to learn AI?

Or, as I saw this week, they donβt believe in AI and quit because it βdoesn't alignβ with their personal values.Β
Pushing AI top down is hard. Growing AI talent is harder.Β
Start small. Prove value. Scale smart.βοΈ
The trough is temporary. The results aren't.
Every week I hear from readers and students saving 5+ hours with AI, creating better ads, and actually enjoying marketing again.
Steady onβ¦
Alec
P.S. If you're a leader struggling with these topics. Join us at the UNH Leadership Conference next week, where Iβll be giving a talk on βAntifragile Leadership in the Age of Exponential AIβ.
