I have a problem…
… I talk to ChatGPT most days.
It’s easier than typing, which I’m horribly slow at for someone who has worked in Tech since 1998.
Now, I’m not ready to talk to My RayBan glasses like Zuck wants me to (see video below), but we are at an inflection point.
Siri was a disappointment. Amazon Alexa is marginally useful (when it works), but Gemini voice on my Pixel 9 is good (and getting rapidly better), and I use ChatGPT via voice most days.
Consumers will demand that this high-quality conversational interaction be everywhere they would rather talk than type.
In Car
Headsets
All mobile devices
Places where our hands are dirty or occupied, like kitchens, workshops, and driving the farm tractor.
Gaming Consoles
Entertainment and your wall-hung TV
School
Sports
And the one I dread most 😭 is Voice AI on my fridge. Please don’t connect my fridge to the internet. I certainly don’t want it calling me out when I sneak a bite of ice cream.🍦
But the big one that I don’t think is appreciated is Ads.👇🏼
